WHAT IS COSMETIC TATTOOING?
Cosmetic tattooing, also known as Micro Pigmentation, Semi or Permanent Makeup, is a revolutionary method of implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny sterile, disposable needle.
WHAT IS HAIRSTROKE OR FEATHER BROW TATTOO?
Brow Feathering (Eyebrow Embroidery, Microblading, Microstroking etc.) is a process where a manual tattoo technique is used to deposit color pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Hair-like tattoo strokes mimic hairs creating a natural defined look.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FEATHER BROWS?
This advance technique of cosmetic tattoo has many benefits:
Creates full even brows
Water and sweat proof
Gives fullness to areas that are sparse
Saves you time!!
Lasts 1-3 years allowing you to adjust your brow shape as you age (Results may vary)
WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT TO GET COSMETIC TATTOO?
You must be 18 years or older to receive a tattoo service.
CAN I DO THIS IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
NO. As a precaution we will not perform cosmetic tattooing if you are pregnant or nursing. This will ensure safety and will give peace of mind. We will be happy to perform this service once you are done nursing.
COSMETIC TATTOO IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY CLIENTS WHO ARE OR HAVE:

Diabetic (consult your doctor)
Undergoing Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
Viral Infections and/or Diseases
A Pacemaker or major heart problems
Had an organ transplant
Sick (cold, flu, etc)
Had Botox in the past 2 months
Used Accutane in the past year
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Consultation and brow design (30-45 min). During the consultation, together we will design and shape the brows that'll best enhance your natural features and frame your face.
Numbing (15 min). A topical anesthetic (4% lidocaine) is applied 15 minutes prior to the tattoo procedure to help minimize discomfort. Additional anesthetic is applied during the procedure to enhance the numbing effects.
Tattooing (60 min). Pigment best suited for your skin and hair color are implanted in the upper dermal layer of the skin in hair-like strokes that mimic your natural hairs within the brow design.
DOES COSMETIC TATTOOING HURT?
Pain tolerance varies from person to person. Numbing agents are applied before and during the procedure to help minimize discomfort. Clients have related the procedure to tweezing/plucking multiple hairs at once and eyebrow threading. Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
DO YOU SHAVE THE NATURAL BROW HAIRS?
We try to incorporate as much of the natural hairs as possible into the brow design. Only hairs that lay outside of the brow design will be shaved.
HOW LONG DOES THE TATTOO LAST?
Cosmetic tattoo will typically last 1-3 years depending on post care treatment, skin type and lifestyle (sun exposure). Although it will fade over time, there will still be some residue of the pigment in your skin. Frequency of touch ups depend on a number of factors including: pigment color used (light colors fade faster), sun exposure, chemical peels/exfoliants etc. Oily skin types tend to fade faster than drier skin types. Final results CAN NOT be guaranteed as each unique skin type hold and accept pigment differently and break down at different rates. Long term aftercare is crucial to the longevity of your brow investment.
HOW OFTEN ARE TOUCH UPS NEEDED?
It is up to the client to decide when it is time for a touch up. Annual touch ups are highly recommended to keep your brows looking fresh. All initial eyebrow procedures will be followed with a complimentary touch up session 4-8 weeks later. At the touch up appointment we will reevaluate how your skin has accepted the pigment and make any necessary changes. Please note that this is a 2 step process, sometimes more in achieving the desired look. Not all clients need or desire a touch up. Touch ups are normal for cosmetic tattoo procedures. Additional touch ups will be charged accordingly.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK AND FEEL LIKE IMMEDIATELY AFTER?
There are no visible signs of swelling and redness is minimal to none. Clients can return to work immediately after the procedure. Any redness and discomfort after the numbing wears off will subside within the day. Immediately after the procedure the brows will appear crisp and dark. This will soften up as the skin goes through its healing cycle.
WHAT WILL MY HEALED BROWS LOOK LIKE?
Results will vary depending on skin type, lifestyle and immediate and long-term aftercare by the client. There is absolutely no guarantees with cosmetic tattoo. After the healing process the hair-strokes will appear softer (oily skin types may heal soft and powdery while drier skin types may heal crisper and more defined).
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
It takes about 2 weeks for the superficial layers to close and heal. During these 2 weeks your skin will go through a healing process: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing the first 10 days. This is very common for cosmetic tattoo procedures. Deeper dermal layers will take 6-8 weeks to fully heal.
